Take a joint of mutton and place in a pot on the fire or on
top of the stove, add bay leaf and onion (the best is a cast iron pot over an
open fire) cover with boiling water, simmer until meat is tender. After 30 mins
cooking add salt. Serve with Caper sauce
Melt half the butter, add seasoned flour, and mix well.
